OOO Expert Design Bureau

Within the framework of the 5,000 t bitumen storage design in Novgorod Region for the OOO Expert Design Bureau the engineering part of the design was developed. A bitumen storage is an above-ground reinforced-concrete bitumen storage facility. This design arrangement called for development of the technology of overground intake of bitumen assuring minimum energy consumption in the production process. The bitumen storage should provide for reception and discharge of bitumen onto trucks with the output up to 300 t/day. Energy costs calculation and selection of process equipment were done, heating stations for heat carriers (hot oil), a bitumen unloading station and a station for loading of bitumen onto trucks were designed.
