Main tasks
-
To develop a technology for receiving, storing and shipping bitumen
Decision
The consumable warehouse of the manufacturing enterprise (asphalt concrete plant) is intended for acceptance, long-term (off-season) storage, heating and delivery of viscous road bitumen.
The projected site includes a tank farm, bitumen discharge and filling stations, a heating area for the coolant, as well as technological pipelines.
Vertical steel tanks with a volume of 1000 m3 with an oil heating system and instrumentation elements. Bitumen intake is provided at one bitumen discharge station from automobile tanks. The product can be shipped to road transport (automobile filling station) and to the consumable tanks of the asphalt mixing plant.
The technology of the tank farm provides for long-term (off-season) storage of bitumen, followed by heating to temperatures of shipment to external transport. Heating of bitumen to shipment temperatures is provided in two stages:
- up to the flow temperature (not lower than 60 ° C) in RVC1000 tanks with subsequent gravity discharge;
- up to the shipping temperatures (at least 140 ° C) in the RVC60 underground tank, followed by discharge by a bitumen pump.
Heat supply to the tank farm is provided by a 0.625 MW thermal oil heating station using natural gas.
