Study of thermal fields in horizontal above-ground tanks. Study of thermal fields in the 1,000 m3 pit-type storage facility. It was established that long-term operation of the storage facility with low efficiency of the plant causes bitumen overheating in the storage facility thus increasing energy costs for its operation and exerting negative impact on the binder’s quality. More details on the study results may be found in the Articles section. Analysis of energy consumers of the oil heating system was done with development of recommendations on the facility upgrade.
