The bitumen warehouse is designed for receiving, long-term (off-season) storage, heating and dispensing of viscous road bitumen. The projected site includes a tank farm, bitumen discharge and filling stations, a thermal oil heating station, as well as technological pipelines. The tank farm consists of two vertical steel tanks with a volume of 3000 m3 with an oil heating system, fire protection equipment and instrumentation elements. Bitumen intake is provided at automobile discharge and filling stations for 2 cars, as well as from an underground bitumen storage facility. Bitumen shipment is provided at automobile draining and filling stations for 2 cars. The weighing of tank trucks is carried out on existing car scales. The technology of the tank farm provides for long-term (off-season) storage of bitumen in storage tanks R-1 and R-2, followed by heating to temperatures of in-house transportation and shipment temperatures with pumping to external transport or in the technological process of preparing asphalt mixtures, as well as in the technological process of preparing bitumen emulsions. At the 1st stage of the design, the heating and circulation of a high-temperature coolant for heating the tank farm and pipelines is carried out from an existing thermal oil heating station. At the 2nd stage of the design, heating and circulation of a high-temperature coolant for heating the tank farm and pipelines is carried out from the projected CHT-1 thermal oil heating station using natural gas.
