Survey of the technical condition of the bitumen farm equipment used for heating and unloading of flux from rail tank cars to flux storage facilities. Thermal fields on heated rail tank cars were measured. Energy consumption during steam formation with the temperature of 110-120°C for heating of steam jackets was estimated; the performance factor of the two steam boilers operating in parallel was evaluated. Recommendations on minimization of external losses and improvement of energy efficiency of the existing equipment.
